The skiers area provides plenty of space for staging and offers many conveniences.

Skiers Area

Skiers AreaThe skiers area is configured as a large active area with four (4) adjacent team staging areas of considerable size on level grass-covered ground. The active staging area is a level grass-covered and concrete area. Changing tents and portable toilets are available for skier/show personnel use while competing. Each staging area is used a maximum of two (2) times per day, which allows for a relaxed setting to prepare for shows as well as ample time to pack up and vacate after competition.

Rope Drag

The active staging area contains a rope drag that allows for ropes from the starting dock to be drug through it. There is a PVC pipe in the water to assist with keeping the ropes straight as they are pulled through the drag. The rope drag can be used for ropes up to 110’ in length. The advantage of a rope drag is to aid in keeping the ropes clean and making it possible to wind ropes quickly for re-use if necessary.

A hose connected to municipal water in the skiers areas is available for teams to use for drinking, cooling, cleaning, soaking bindings, etc. In addition, there are shower heads (connected to municipal water) for skiers to use as needed for cleaning, cooling, and soaking bindings. The shower piping also includes a bubbler (connected to municipal water). The hose, shower heads, and bubbler all have separate on/off controls.
