Aqua Jays take second at nationals

The Rock Aqua Jays placed second at the Division I National Water Ski Show Tournament held August 13-15 at Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids.

The team finished with a score of 1763.68, only 15 points behind Wonder Lake. The Rock Aqua Jays managed to win the Best Pick-Up Boat Crew and Best Announcing & Sound Crew box score awards.

Amanda Schultz and Aaron Schoelzel finished first in strap doubles competition. Bryanna Barkley and Matt Klay finished second in strap doubles. Jacklyn Kumlien finished sixth in the swivel competition. Dan Benz finished fifth in the freestyle jump competition while the jump team finished third in the team jump competition.

The 2011 Divison I National Water Ski Show Tournament returns to Janesville, Wisconsin August 12-14.
